| Abstract(in English) | The optical communication experiment has been performed using the Engineering Test Satellite VI(ETS-VI) in the Communications Research Laboratory(CRL). The laser communication equipment(LCE) which the CRL has developed for optical communications in free-space works very well so far. We have performed laser transmission experiment for both uplink and downlink since December 1994 in order to establish the optical link between the ETS-VI and a ground station located at the CRL. We observed the flashing laser light from the LCE onboard the ETS-VI. Now our experiment enters upon a phase to measure performances of the modulator and the demodulator. |
