Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Air traffic flow basically has a random behavior and the traffic density level encountered in major cities' airports, is usually very high. Therefore, the air traffic control operations become very difficult. Traffic flow management is implemented in order to improve these conditions. A flow management technique was devised for smoothing the arriving air traffic flow and decreasing controllers' workload. This paper presents the outline of a new computer algorithm, which automatically smooths incoming air traffic flow, based on the pre-selected values of certain parameters.
