Level-Selected Noncoherent Integration for Detection of Fluctuating Targets

Abstract(in English) The conventional noncoherent integration method sums up all output signals of envelop detector. So, if the targets fluctuate, its target detection performance becomes worse because it sums up not only large but also small level output signals of envelop detector. To improve the detection performance of fluctuating targets, we propose a new noncoherent integration method which uses only large level output signals of envelop detector and show some calculated results of the detection probability for Swerling case 2 target model when using linear envelope detector.
