Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A borehole radar is one form of ground penetrating radars, which can be used in deep boreholes. We have been developing a directional borehole radar system with a conformal array antenna on a conducting cylinder. In this report, we propose a 3-D MUSIC algorithm for a conformal array of the directional borehole radar to estimate the 3-D source location. Simulation using the proposed method showed that the algorithm can accurately estimate parameters of incident wave with a conformal array having a radius of 0.03 wavelength.
