Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In radar signal processing, important problems are the suppression of the various clutter and the detection of targets such as aircrafts or ships embedded in such clutter. To this end, we have considered a wavelet transform which is based on the time-frequency analysis to detect the targets. The wavelet transform includes a base function, which is localized by not only the frequency, but also the time. Therefore, it enables to analyze the frequency at a certain time. From this analysis, it is easy to detect the targets. To reconstruct the images of the targets, we have also considered the proper filtering of the wavelet expansion coefficients and furthermore the inverse wavelet transform. As results of this, sea clutter was suppressed and the targets of the ships were detectecd.
