Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a three-dimensional collision avoidance algorithm for realising ACAS III (Airborne Collision Avoidance System III). After discussing the characteristics of ACAS II, we propose the use of avoidance pattern table to decide the three-dimensional avoidance pattern. The decision process utilizes information of precise GPS-based positions of surrounding aircrafts and flight plans of each aircraft. Computer simulations suggest that the algorithm generates an efficient vertical and/or horizontal avoidance pattern without "domino" effects.
