Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The optical observation has been the primary method to acquire the lunar surface topographic and compositional information. In the past, various observations have been conducted, such as the earth-based telescopic spectral measurements, high spatial resolution photographs before and during the Apollo program, the global multispectral mapping by Clementine, and the imaging spectrometry by Galilleo. In the presentation, the optical observation expected for the future lunar exploration missions, as well as the previous observations and their results, will be discussed. |
