Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Providing traffic information has begun as a measures to solve issues of chronic traffic snarl, aiming at dispersion of traffic flow across road networks. Nevertheless, there is no clear identification on behavior of car-drivers to select their links in network and on effect of dispersed traffic flow by traffic information. To this point, the investigation conducted (1) a survey of papers on prior studies and (2) a simulation to identify the effect of provided information on links for car-drivers and of dispersed traffic flow by traffic information. At last we found that the effect of provided information accompanied with popularization of in-vehicle units increases to a certain level of dissemination of the units, followed by reaching a plateau, without decreasing the effect.
