| Abstract(in English) | NASDA is developing the Engineering Test Satellite VIII to obtain the mobile communications and broadcasting system technologies, basic technology for a satellite positioning system, and 3-ton class geostationary satellite bus system technology. Because of recent requirement for higyly efficient communications satellite, the payload mass and electric power generating capability for a geostationary satellite bus system must also be increased. For this purpose, NASDA has conducted a phase A study on the extension of the bus system capability. This report describes the bus system baseline on the results of the Phase A study. |
