Modelling the Arrival-Interval Distribution for Oceanic Routes

Abstract(in English) We are planing to carry out a simulation to evaluate the safety level of oceanic routes, namely NOPAC routes, for the case that the current separation minima arre reduced. For generating pseudo traffic in the simulation, modelling arrival-interval distributions is required. In this paper, distributions of arrival-interval based on empirical data for the west bound traffic at the entrance fixes on the Tokyo Flight Information Region (FIR) boundary are surveyed. A model for the distribution is proposed. Pseudo traffic is generated for validating the model. Its method and results are reported.
