Abstract(in English) GLONASS is a global navigation satellite system operated by the Russian Federation Military Space Forces. This paper reports the results of position estimation obtained by the GLONASS receivers placed at five locations in Japan (Sapporo, Tokorozawa, Mitaka, Fukuoka, and Naha). It also includes an overview of the current operation of GLONASS and its comparison with GPS.
