A Service Control Framework in Distributed VPN Architecture

Abstract(in English) We are studying the technologies of a distributed VPN architecture for provider provisioned VPNs service, which enables multi-VPN and internet access by controling the equipment in each customer site, and assures the security of each VPN. In this paper, we assume that provider provisioned VPNs service grows as uses of VPNs are diversified, and discuss the architecture of distributed VPN focusing on the scalability of inter-VPN connectivity control. In addition, we propose the framework of service control that makes optional services scalable including a extranet service. It enables users in not only the enterprise sites but also the multi-purpose sites such as home or shared public sites to use many VPNs flexibly and provides a secure communication infrastructure.
