Improvement on Performance of Frequency Estimation using Parallel Synchronous Addition / Subtraction Processing

Abstract(in English) We have considered digital signal processing (DSP) based on the time domain control in signal x(t) against the conventional DSP based on the amplitude domain control. As an application of the proposed DSP, we have presented an adaptive frequency estimation method using a synchronous addition / subtraction processing (SAS). Then, to improve the convergence speed, we have presented the frequency estimation method using a parallel-SAS (PSAS) with better accuracy. These methods are based on the periods of the accumulated values of the SAS and PSAS. In this paper, to improve the tracking characteristic, we present a new frequency estimation method based on the amplitude difference of the accumulated values using the simple gradient algorithm and the PSAS. Simulations are presented to make clear the performance of the proposed method, and it leads that this method can estimate the frequencies of the sinusoidal signal and track the charp signal.
