Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose the PPM-PAM pulse modulation for optical subscriber line (FTTH). This modulation is employed PPM as analog modulation and PAM as digital modulation. The multiplex transmission properties are studied by numerical calculations in this report. In the results, we find the PPM-PAM transmission system realizes analog signal transmission with high SNR of over 40 dB, wide bandwidth of over 100 MHz and also digital transmission with high data rate of over 200 Mbps at same time.
