Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a noise reduction method using linear predictor and adaptive digital filter. It is known that the coefficients of the linear predictor converge such that the prediction error signal becomes white. Reconstructing the noise spectrum from the white signal obtained as the prediction error signal is achieved by estimating the noise spectrum. This estimation is performed by the adaptive digital filter which is used as system identification. Noise reduction is achieved by subtracting the reconstructed noise from the input signal which is a voice mixed with noise. However, under the low signal to noise ratio (S/N), it is difficult to estimate the voice spectrum by the linear predictor. Then, the whitening ability of the linear predictor degrades, and the S/N of enhanced signal degrades too. To improve this problem we consider pre-linear predictor using coefficients control method. The prelinear predictor filter can improve the S/N of the input signal by using the control method for updating the coefficients of the linear predictor. Since the signal obtained as the output of the pre-linear predictor using coefficients control method can be used as the input signal of the secondary linear predictor used for whitening the signal, the signal whitening ability of the secondary linear predictor can be improved. Some experiment results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
