Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, the Spread Spectrum Modifled Multipulse Pulse Position Modulation (SS-MMPPM) system using E-sequences and a preamble is considered. The following performances are evaluated by theoretical analysis: the data transmission rate, the block error rate when the receiver detects the preamble correctly, the synchronization performances, i.e., the probability of detection and the probability of false alarm, the block error rate considering the synchronization performances, and spectral efficiency. Consequently, the data transmission rate of the SS-MMPPM system is higher than that of the SS-PPM system. The probability of block error considering the synchronization performances can reach the lower bound and the spectral efficiency of the SS-MMPPM system is better than that of the conventional SS-PPM system.
