Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Wireless 1394, Hub station is a device that manages the whole Wireless 1394 home network. Also, Hub station plays the role of ad-hoc repeater while the direct communications of Leaf stations are obstructed. Multiple-element antenna systems are considered for the Hub station. We study the channel capacity when using multiple-element antenna MIMO architecture for Wireless 1394. We give an analysis about the dependence of the channel capacity on actual indoor propagation environment. A new geometrical-physical-based channel model including NAZU scattering coefficient is proposed. Also, a new kind of statistical distribution model_-POCA-NAZU distribution is developed to study the fast fading characteristics of indoor radio channel, in a scenario with a finite number of indoor scatterers. Then the relation of POCA-NAZU distribution with MIMO system's capacity and multipath richness is investigated. It is found that this capacity is limited by the number of significant indoor scatterers.
