Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigate ultrashort light pulse CDMA (Code-Division Multiple Access) communication systems with dispersion compensation technique. Bit error rate (BER) is analytically derived. We demonstrate the simultaneous compensation of dispersion and dispersion slope through a fiber link. This fiber link consists of standard single-mode fiber (SMF) connected with two different types of dispersion-compensating fibers (DCF) required for wide band transmission. As a result, the use of our dispersion compensation technique achieves several tens of times longer transmission, compared to that without the compensation technique.
