Abstract(in English) | Standard image coding schemes designed to be suitable for the natural image compression are not necessarily effective for non-natural image compression so far. In this report, a method which changes the characteristic of the image by swapping pixel values is proposed. Our method is suitable for lossless coding since swapping pixel values is a reversible operation. Our method can be combined with various image expressions and various coding schemes. We show that it is possible to encode images believed inefficient for standard image coding schemes effective, by using our method. To verify effectiveness, we evaluate our method in some lossless coding schemes. |
