Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a Reed Solomon (RS) coding scheme for parallel combinatorial spread spectrum (PC-SS) systems. The PC-SS system is one of multi-code dirct-sequence SS systems. In the PC-SS systems, the data is converted into two parts. One is combination of orthogonal PN sequences, and the other is polarity of transmitting PN sequences. In the previous study, it is found that error rate of the data with respect to the combination of orthogonal PN sequences dominates whole error rate in PC-SS systems. In this paper, only the data with respect to the combination is encoded by RS codes in the PC-SS systems. The error rate performance of the proposed system in AWGN channel is evaluated by computer simulation. Simulation results show that significant error rate improvement can be observed by the proposed scheme.
