Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this article, we consider the use of the linearly constrained differential constant modulus algorithm (LCDCMA) to adaptively suppress multi-access interference at the receiver in DS/CDMA communications. The LCDCMA operates so as to force the magnitude of outputs of different time instants equal each other. Firstly, we point out that the convergence to the optimal solution cannot be ensured under a condition for the LCCMA which has been applied to CDMA receivers recently. Next, we show that the optimal MMSE solution can be always obtained by the LCDCMA in the absence of noise. Moreover, it is shown that, like the LCCMA, the LCDCMA is relatively insensitive to the estimation error of the desired signal vector. Next, we propose a new blind adaptive algorithm to estimate the channel impulse response required for the optimal MMSE solution. The proposed algorithm, which is based on the technique in [22], uses a subspace tracking algorithm. The usefulness of the LCDCMA with the channel estimation algorithm is shown.
