| Abstract(in English) | We present the outline and the background of the VB5(VB5.1/VB5.2)reference point specification that specifies V-interface between a service node (SN) and an ATM access network (AN).The VB5.2 specifies the RTMC protocol to allow SN to manage AN resources.In addition to the RTMC, the VB5.2 specifies the B-BCC protocol to allow SN to control connections in AN.The remote users can access to various service nodes by using the VB5 as if the service nodes are connected directly.The VB5 also realizes cost-effective service to share the access networks. |
