A pre-DFT Space Diversity Scheme for Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing

Abstract(in English) This report proposes a new pre-DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform)space diversity reception system for COFDM(Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing). The proposed scheme first uses forward error correction coding among subcarriers at transmitter. Then at the diversity receiver, the proposed scheme estimated the diversity weights with calculating the eigenvector of the covariance matrix among the branches. Computer simulations show the proposed scheme gives large diversity gain with low computational complexity.
