Abstract(in English) | This paper shows the Alpha AXP 64-bit architecture design and its implementations, expected to be one of the base technology for flexible networking and communications, infrastructure in the 21th century.Digital′s design work of 64-bit general pourpose RISC micr oprocessor,Alpha AXP is introduced briefly its architechture and implementations. An example is also shown that increase of processor performance can contribute the performance improvement of networking,in this case, throuth the measurement of data transfer rate between user processes via TCP, IP and UDP/IP on FDDI SAS node.Approximately 98Mbps transfer rate, close to theoretial upper limit, was achieved. |
