Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We present the analysis and design of the optical parametric loop mirror (PALM): a four-wave mixing (FWM) circuit which can separate the generated FWM wave from the input signal and pump waves. In the pulsed operation of PALM, it is revealed that the counter-propagating FWM pulses meet at the output of PALM with a temporal delay, and that the suppression of the signal and pump waves at the output of PALM degrades neither of which appear in cw operation.
