Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On optical transmission systems employing the optical super wide-band FM modulation technique, bandwidth limitation to the FM signal was studied as a factor for CNR degradation. Required bandwidth for an FM signal has been ordinarily estimated along Carson's rule and therefore the concrete relationship between the bandwidth and its CNR has not been examined. For the analysis of CNR degradation, the effect of bandwidth limitation to the wide-band FM signal was newly modeled by using 'Equivalent Noise Pulse'. The theoretical CNR value with the model meets the experimental CNR even under the limited bandwidth.
