Abstract(in English) This paper proposes cell-attached frame encapsulation schemes suitable for a global networking service platform. This platform is a frame forwarding network to provide a variety of networking services and it is composed of access networks and a core network. An access network is an ATM-based subscriber network to connect user LANs with an edge node. On the other hand, a core network is an ATM-based wide-area frame forwarding network to interconnect edge nodes with each other. These edge nodes perform network-interworking processing by means of frame encapsulation processing. This encapsulation processing can be performed without cell reassembly by employing our proposed scheme. As a result, our proposed schemes are effective to reduce networking cost as well as to improve forwarding performance.
