A Study on Acquisition Circuit for Broadband Spread-Spectrum Direct-Wave Reception Systems

Abstract(in English) This paper is related to the acquisition circuit to catch the direct-wave, that is, for broadband spread-spectrum direct-wave reception (BSS-DR) systems, in Ricean fading environment. The analysis is performed by considering the influences of the channel approximated as exponential profile and the cross-correlation of pseudo noise signal produced by random sequence. A new parameter n_j to distinguish the noise timing, where there is not any signal, from the signal timing of the channel is introduced. As a result, the average acquisition times of about 350T and 200T (T denotes the time duration of data signal) with the high reliability can be achieved by the circuit, when the power ratios of direct-wave to Rayleigh-distributed waves of the channel are 1.0 and 10.0, respectively.
