| Abstract(in English) | It is a key technology to identify whether a vehicle is an ETC vehicle or not in the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) gate. We have proposed a vehicle identification system which has a directional finder and 2 vehicle detectors. The bread board system has been developed and evaluated in the field. It become clear that the system was effective for the identification. For the directional finder, evaluation tests on multipath and shadowing were enforced. We were able to confirm that the scattering had little influence on the vehicle identification system. |
