Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This papar presents a synthesis algorithm for one-dimensional self-replicating cellular automata. The algorithm uses a genetic algorithm with a simple fitness function. The gene corresponds to the rules used actually at time of the state evolution and the gene length is variant. The algorithm efficiency is confirmed by basic numerical experiments.
