Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, it has been shown that packet traffic is chaotic in computer networks. In this report, we consider a switching system modeled by the discrete-time flow model. We quantitatively classify the behaviors of this system into three modes: "Lockout", "Normal", and "Idling". We study the occurence conditions of these modes, and show that this system has an invariant region. Finally, we show that its behaviors can be described by using a kind of one-dimensional Poincare map, and that map is chaotic.
