Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a method of character recognition by using Logic Oriented(LOGO) neural networks. First, an expanded back propagation method which is modified by the logic oriented technique of the LOGO neural networks is described. Secondly, we applied this method to recognify the given characters among 26 alphabet characters. In order to verify the function of the proposed networks, simulations have been made by MATLAB tool. The results show that the better performance was obtained comparing to common neural networks.
