Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Delayed feedback control(DFC)is a practical method of controlling chaos. However, it was proved that the DFC has a limitation: any hyperbolic unstable periodic orbit (UPO) with an odd number of real characteristic multipliers greater than unity can never be stabilized by the DFC. To overcome this limitation, we have proposed a modified DFC, "half-period delayed feedback", utilizing symmetry of Duffing equation. In this report, we extend this method to more general form which can be applied to wide range of systems with symmetries including the Duffing equation. We apply this generalized method to controlling Lorenz attractor and confirm its feasibility by numerical experiments. |
