Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We present a simple mathematical model of grouping animals. In the model, each animal is identical and has a few degrees of freedom including position, velocity, and direction of the body.By computer simulations,we find a variety of collective motions, such as swarm, schooling, and straying. We characterize these different behaviors, and find that some of them are chaotic.
