Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For a time-dependent radiation field,we analyze effects of a hypothetical nonlinearity on the time-evolved characteristic of two-level atomic inversion.A theoretical framework based upon a Weinberg-Bloch model is used. The results show that in the absence of sponteneous emission, for a certain nonlinear parameter,a 2π pul se that is expected from the linear wave mechanics behaves it self like a π pulse. However, with enhancing the sponteneous emission thi s feature is smeared out sharply.
