Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When solid particles placed in one layer in a narrow channel with liquid flow move randomly under the action of gravity and the viscous force, which is called a 2D fluidization. In our experiment particles with cylindrical shape were used and their motions were recorded by a video-camera.Average size of particle clusters was obtained through image processing of digitized video images. Spectrum of the timewise variation of this size was found to behave as f^-2, 3> on a relation of this spectrum with the resistance of fluid in the channel.
