Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Perception in a single cell is realized by non-linear chemical processes far away equilibrium. We aim at developing artificial enzymesystems which are endowed with intelligence just like a living cell.Oscillations and pattern formations were observed in cell extracts from yeasts. The spatial patterns were superimposed on the large uniform oscillations in the system. This feature was simulated by a coupled oscillator model, and so we speculate that the pattern dynamics show space-time chaos.
