Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We present experimental results on the Freedericksz transition of nematic liquid crystals under a rotating magnetic field. Two types of dynamic patterns,i.e.expanding target-like patterns and rotating spirals, are observed in the parameter regime where the molecules cannot follow the too rapid rotation of the field. We discuss formation mechanism of such patterns.
