Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a pulse coded cellular neural network which uses random pulse sequences as inputs and is operated equivalently as an analog cellular neural network. The pulse-stream is used for representation of the neuronal signal . The neural network implementation based on the pulse-stream scheme has several advantages: the network can be easily supported by the digital VLSI technology. the input/output are easily interfaced with the host controller, and it is based on the understanding of the biological neurons.
