Unstabilization and Stabilization of Nonlinear One-dimensional Systems by Time-delayed Feedback

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a control system to stabilize unstable periodic points of a nonlinear system in stable state whose parameter is not permitted to be varied. This control system uses two delayed-feedback signals. One of them unstabilizes a stable orbit in the nonlinear system, and another stabilizes an unstable periodic point which coexists in the nonlinear system. We present some numerical experiments using the logistic map to test the proposed control system.
