Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that bacterial species called Bacillus subtilis call form several colony patterns during growth when varying environmental conditions such as concentrations of nutrient and agar in the agar medium. In this paper, we have suggested Mathematical model of colony pattern formations and had the theoretical consideration from the point of numerical simulation. Concretly we investigated this model described by reaction-diffusion system as following: we have examined the relation between the traveling wave solutions for 1-dimentional system and planar traveling waves for 2-dim system, and considered the mechanism which can appear the dendritic patterns.
