Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The simplified magnetic Benard system (SMB) is a minimal extension of the Lorenz system (L). (SMB) contains a parameter Q associated with the magnetic field and as Q→0 (SMB) is reduced to (L). In the previous work we showed that numerically there is no continuity in the dimension of the attractors as Q→0. Numerical computaions were carried out in the double precision arithmetic using the 4th oder Runge-Kutta method. In the paper they are carried out in the quadruple arithmetic using the spectral collocation methods. The same numerical results are obtained.
