Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Segregation process of granular materials caused by the rotation of the glass tube is considered. We observed the segregation in the direction of rotating axis using the mixture of sand and fine glass beads. We constructed a mathematical model and made its simulations, which shows segregation followed by coarsenning process. This model is a minimal model for segregation caused by a certain mechanism. Also, we compared the dynamics of Cahn-Hilliard equation and this model.
