Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Photonic MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) networks, wavelength is utilized as a label for routing information. It causes that optical cross-connect equipments have routing control function instead of IP routers and that processing at IP layer can be omitted. So the realization of communication networks with higher throughput and connections like a mesh between IP routers can be expected. In this report, we compare with various wavelength conversion techniques for routing control. And we also study about methods for hop counting techniques in photonic networks in order to prevent traffic flows from looping back.
