Abstract(in English) Cost-effective ONTs (Optical network termination) are necessary for FTTH (Fiber to the home) deployment. When many customers in residential areas subscribe the FTTH service, PON architecture is one of the best candidates to provide a cost-effective solution. The FTTH system is based on, and must comply with, the FSAN (Full Service Access Networks) standards to achieve the interoperability with other vendors' equipment. A network processor enables us to develop a one-board ONT. The ONT provides telephony, data and video services.
