Dense OTN Multiplexer with Transponder Function

Abstract(in English) We have developed an OTN multiplexer with the transponder function which multiplexes four STM-16 optical signals for SONET/SDH interface to a 10.7Gbit/s optical signal for OTN interface according to the growth of IP network. It can keep the existing operation system and extend the STM-16 network easily to the OTN DWDM network. In this paper we investigate the tranparent transport for STM-16 overhead. And it is reported that the transparent transport is integrated to the very large LSI which makes the OTN multiplexer tenth of the existing product and that the dense OTN multiplexer with high cost performance is developed.
