Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The photonic MPLS router is equipment which integrates the optical layer with the IP layer. It establishes a route for an optical path by extending the signalling protocol of MPLS (Multi-protocol Label Switching) to the optical layer, in which a wavelength is defined as a label. In this report, we present the concept, function and equipment configuration of the photonic MPLS router, which gives a solution to construct next large capacity IP network.
