Dispersion-flattened hybrid optical link with enlarged-effective area single mode fiber and SC-DCF

Abstract(in English) Dispersion-flattened hybrid optical link with enlarged-effective area single mode fiber and SC-DCF(Slope compensating and slope compensating fiber) is presented. Enlarged-effective area single mode fibers having A_ of 110 and 125μm^2, and SC-DCF designed for dispersion and dispersion slope compensation of those single mode fibers are realized. The hybrid link with enlarged-effective area single mode fiber and SC-DCF shows a equivalent A_ of about 70μm^2 which is effective for suppression of nonlinear effect. Moreover, this hybrid link shows a small residual dispersion over C-band and L-band.
