Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A multi-channel CW-WDM signal source in S-band is presented using a 153nm conversion bandwidth, widest to our knowledge, four-wave mixing(FWM)in a high-nonlinearity fiber. It has been realized by use of a 57m long HNL-DSF. And we have proposed a technique to avoid the crosstalk due to improper FWM by separation of improper and proper FWM. As a result, we have obtained an S-band 22 channel CW-WDM light source covering 1465-1500nm, which have ~-20dB conversion efficiency and good flatness(<1dB), from L-Band CW-WDM light source covering 1581-1618nm. And up to 40dB OSNR have been realized by optimizing the wavelength configuration of the probe lightwaves.
