Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For providing both communication and broadcasting services on an optical access system, we analysed the performance of a super wide-band FM technique, which make it possible to overlay multi-channel RF video signals on a baseband digital signal. Degradation factors specific for that system, which are the excessive shot noise generated in optical multiplexing, the crosstalk of the wide-band FM technique onto the baseband and the beat noise between the desired wide-band FM signal and the undesired digital signal induced in the FM demodulator, are discussed. Taking account of these factors, the require condition of the optical received powers is designed for transmitting simultaneously the baseband digital signal of 156Mbps and RF signals of AM 40chs.
